Captain Jack's Log - June 2019

By Captain Jack | June 15, 2019

Hi, Fellow Sea Dogs & Humans !

It’s been a while since I last made an entry in my log. This was back in late 2018 if my memory serves me correctly. I’ve been busy and rushed off my paws since the beginning of 2019 and it’s not until now that I’ve had the chance to get back to the keyboard to record my recent experiences.

We’ve had lots going on and my staff have been very busy welcoming and training new students. I’ve sat in on a number of courses to ensure that everybody is working hard and meeting the high standards we set ourselves here at Seahaven Maritime Academy.

As a result of this, I’ve taken a lot in and feel that I must be the most well trained dog in the Maritime Industry.

Lots Of Improvements

Just recently, we had all of our back office computer systems updated in order to improve the online experience enjoyed by visitors to our website. We’ve also gone to great lengths to streamline the booking procedure to make things easier for our customers.

You may wonder how a humble Border Collie might know so much but, as canines go, I’m becoming a bit of a whizz in “In-fur-mation Technology” and these apparently modest paws can move like lightening on the old qwerty keys.

Strange and Mysterious Visitors

Since starting work at the academy, I’ve noticed some rather strange characters swimming around the port and they’re definitely not people or dogs. This has had me thinking and feeling a little nervous at what they might be. Mike has promised to explain all in our next blog article and I’m looking forward to finding out.

It’s very kind of Mike to explain these things to me but that’s what he and the other trainers here do so well.

Only the best and most experienced training staff will do when it comes to Maritime Training. Don’t waste time barking up the wrong tree and be sure to get in touch with Seahaven Maritime Academy. If you click on the link below, you can learn more about our trainers.

Bye for Now

I feel now that I’ve hounded you quite enough so thank you for your patience and please keep looking in for more from me in the coming weeks.

If you’re considering a career on the water, at Seahaven Maritime Academy we offer a variety of courses including the STCW Basic Safety Training Package.

You’d have to be barking mad not to be impressed with our competitively priced course fees.

If you would like further information then please feel free to get in touch.

That’s all from me for now so, until next time, Ciao !!!

Senior Maritime Canine Officer

Jack is the youngest member of the team, but very much in charge, and likes to meet everybody personally to see how they are getting along with their coursework at the academy. His intuitive canine wisdom, impressive for such a young seafarer, always gives us paws for thought and he's always got a bone to pick if he's not happy that everybody is working very hard to provide our students with the best possible training experience.
