How To Get To Seahaven Maritime Academy

Our full postal address is:-

Seahaven Maritime Academy Ltd
East Quay
Newhaven Port
Newhaven
East Sussex
BN9 0BN

Directions by Road, Rail and Air

By Road:

We are located inside Newhaven Port at East Quay. The entrance to the port is on Beach Road which leads on from Railway Road, next to Newhaven Town Railway Station on the A259. Distance from the station to the port entrance is less than 1 mile. There is plenty of free parking here.

Note: some GPS Satnavs will not lead you to our correct location. If you get lost call us on +44 1273 514050

By Air: Gatwick London International Airport

Gatwick is the closest airport to us. By rail, trains run approximately every 30 minutes, and the journey takes less than an hour with 1 change at Lewes – see which station below. The cost will be about £15.

By road, the distance is 40 miles and depending on traffic, takes between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours. A taxi will cost approximately £50.

We do not recommend flying in on the morning of your course as the travel time from scheduled landing to your arrival here (due to airport clearing time and commuter congestion) is likely to mean that you don’t arrive until after the course has started.

By Rail: Newhaven Harbour Station

Useful link – http://www.nationalrail.co.uk

The nearest station to us is Newhaven Harbour – approximately a 5-minute walk.

If you are arriving the day before and going directly to your accommodation (in Newhaven), do not go to the Harbour Station. Get off the train at Newhaven Town, the stop before the harbour. If you are staying in Seaford, it is 2 stops after the Harbour station.

If you are staying in Brighton, the trains run approximately every 30 minutes and the return fare is about £10.
