A Clear Vision

Seahaven Maritime Academy is entering 2018 with a clear vision. In the next 12 months we will continue to develop our staff and ensure our students are content by providing the highest standard of maritime training possible.

Here’s what our founder and Managing Director, Steve Brand, has to say about our direction.

Steve’s Thoughts

“As the founder and Managing Director of Seahaven Maritime Academy I take enormous pride in the work we do and the services we provide.

I have been hugely impressed by the constructive way in which our highly skilled Instructors and other staff have engaged with the business to implement the ethos of Seahaven Maritime.

This year we will explore the options in gaining a bigger section of the maritime industry in much more depth and make decisions about the future organisation of the company.

We will explore and implement development for all staff to improve the already good standard that exists.

We provide excellent training at an affordable price with the emphasis on dealing with people not numbers. To continue operating as one team and make sure that this remains a great place to work to attract, recruit and retain the right people. Only then can we deliver our own vision of being the best maritime training organisation in the world.

In practice, being the best maritime training organisation in the world means being world leaders in setting the highest standards in everything we do.

I accept these aspirations are difficult to quantify nevertheless they are reflected in our already strong reputation, and in the dedicated professionalism of our instructors, who amply demonstrate the ethos of our company

Of course, there is always room for improvement and our focus this year will be on providing consistently high-quality customer service across all areas of our work.

Our Training Facilities

Seahaven Maritime Academy is a purpose-built training centre in the port of Newhaven, East Sussex. As respected professionals in the field, our academy is run entirely by professional mariners and provides world-class training for everyone working in the maritime industry.
